Minister Abdullah: Supporting Syria’s just stance by calling for lifting unilateral coercive measures imposed on the country
Labor Ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) countries held the 109th Session of the International Labor Conference (ILC) their meeting, with the participation of Syria
The conference is organized annually by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and this year will be held virtually in Geneva
Delivering a speech, head of the Syrian delegation, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Salwa al-Abdullah affirmed the importance of taking clear and frank decisions by ILO in condemnation of Israeli occupation of occupied Syrian Golan, Palestine and other occupied Arab territories and flagrant violations committed by the occupation against civilians, employers and workers in Golan
“We are looking forward to a strong stance supporting Syria in its war against terrorism,” Abdullah said
She added that the global war which was waged against Syria is a crime that targeted all aspects of life and also the Syrian Human being in all livelihood, causing the loss of thousands of workers from their job opportunities and sources of livelihood
Abdullah called on the participating ministers and heads of delegations to support Syria’s just stance by calling for lifting unilateral coercive measures imposed on the country
The first part of the 109th session of ILC started on Thursday and will continue until June 19th
On May 20th an opening session was held, in which the members of the conference’s bureau were elected and its permanent and technical committees were appointed, and the conference closing session is expected to be held on December 11th
