“The G20 is the main forum for international economic cooperation… Russia is an important member, and no member has the right to exclude another country,” Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a press briefing reported by AFP
Jake Sullivan, security advisor in the administration of US President Joe Biden, had previously talked about the possibility of excluding Russia from the G20, whose next summit is scheduled to be held in Indonesia at the end of this year, as part of the escalatory policies against Moscow under the pretext of the crisis in Ukraine
