Shulgin slams western countries’ politicization of OPCW work
Russia’s permanent envoy to the Organization for the Prohibition of chemical Weapons (OPCW) Alexander Shulgin, slammed the western countries’ continued politicization of the Organization of Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) work and attempts to use its authority to impose their visions and interests, noting that the organization’s reports on Syria are the best evidence of that
“It must be recognized that we are witnesses to a real crisis phase in the history of the organization, which is immersed more and more in the swamp of political manipulation played by a small group of countries,” Shulgin said in a press statement in Moscow on Friday
He said “We have become more convinced of this after releasing the second report on Syria, as the work of the Investigation and Identification Team is more and more paralyzing the work of the OPCW and makes it difficult to agree on taking important documents”
