Mikdad: Syrian government to re-build what has been destroyed by terrorism
Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Faysal Mikdad briefed Syrian citizens in the US on the efforts exerted by the Syrian government to restore security and stability all over the country and rebuild what has been destroyed by terrorism in a way that contributes to the return of the displaced and refugees to their Home
Mikdad, meeting some members of Syrian community in America, referred to the negative impacts and inhuman repercussions of the economic blockade and sanctions imposed by the US and other Western countries on the Syrian people which cause suffering to the Syrian citizens on various levels
In turn, members of the Syrian community thanked this initiative and expressed their appreciation for the sacrifices offered by the Syrian Arab Army in defeating terrorism and the efforts exerted by the Syrian government to provide the basic needs for Syrian citizens
Mikdad meets representatives of Syrian community in Cairo
Later, Mikdad met representatives of the Syrian community of industrialists and businessmen in Egypt. Mikdad held talks on means of implementing the Syrian government’s approach to resettle some Syrian investments within a plan that harmonizes with the new investment law
During the meeting, Minister Mikdad briefed representatives of Syrian community in Cairo on the general situation in Syria, particularly the important achievements in restoring security and stability to most parts of the country and the disastrous impacts of the unilateral sanctions on the conditions of Syrian citizens, calling on Syrian expatriates everywhere to participate in putting an end to these inhumane measures
