Occupation settlement schemes in Golan violate international law, People’s Assembly affirms
The People’s Assembly has condemned the new settlement schemes of the Israeli occupation entity in the occupied Syrian Golan, stressing that they constitute a flagrant violation of international resolutions
“We condemn in the strongest terms the Zionist settlement scheme, which aims to build more settlement units in addition to infrastructure and other projects over the next five years, through which the occupation forces aim to attract new batches of Zionist settlers to double their numbers and settle them on the land of the occupied Syrian Golan,” the People’s Assembly said in a statement issued Tuesday
The statement stressed that these Zionist actions and practices are an extension of the series of repeated attacks on the Syrian citizens in the occupied Syrian Golan in desperate attempts to change its demographic and geographic structure and in flagrant and clear violation of international law and the resolutions of international legitimacy which condemn the occupation’s measures and practices
The statement expressed strong rejection and denunciation of these criminal measures against the Syrian citizens in the occupied Syrian Golan, affirming once again that every inch of the precious Golan is an integral part of the homeland
The People’s Assembly renewed its firm and permanent support and standing by all available means alongside the Syrian citizens in the occupied Syrian Golan until the restoration of all its land, saluting the steadfast Syrian citizens on the land of the beloved Golan
